The Outpost Camp
A Lake of your own? Yes, your group can book our Outpost lake exclusively!
Just 50 km east of Fort Smith and about halfway between Fort Smith and Andrew Lake is the Leland Lake system.
Protected by a cove the camp is located just south of the rapids between South & North Leland lakes. Light housekeeping (do your own cooking and fish whenever you like) is the theme for the accommodation facilities. All groups are booked to private cabins.
Characterized by the granite of the Canadian Shield, rocky steep banks shape this long narrow lake system.

Explore
Over 100 km of shoreline to explore on the Leland system. Â Some of the best fishing is where the north and south lakes join and the rapids inflow to the south lake. The system runs in a north – south orientation to a chain of lakes and ultimately the Slave river.
GUEST CABINS
3 guest cabins accommodate 2-4 guests each. Each cabin is equipped with electricity, kitchens for guests to do their own cooking, BBQ, Fire pits, camp chairs and picnic tables.

You call the shots and run your own camp. Bring or pre order grocery and beverages (inquire on our complimentary freight flights). Do your cooking, eat and fish whenever you like. We do regular fly in camp checks and you can also utilize satellite communications for emergencies or camp questions.

Groups of 6 or more can book the camp exclusive with all 3 cabins. Includes electrical generator powe ad solar & battery, lights, fridge, freezers, showers, propane cooking stove, wood burning stove for heating & 24 hour satellite phone communication. 14-15 ft Lund & Alumarine boats with 9.9HP Honda & Yamaha motors.

FISHING SEASON
Opens mid May with ice out and runs through til October 1st. We have 4 main fish species, Walleye, Lake Trout, Northern Pike & Whitefish.

2 people per boat, all fuel included as well as life jackets, paddles, boat seats.
Down riggers & Sonar Fish finders are available on a rental basis.

Enjoy a “Mouth Watering” shore lunch of fresh fish.
Fresh Lake trout, pike or maybe walleye is your favourite. From the clean, cold and clear waters, fish prepared the “shore lunch way” can’t be beat! Just imagine boneless chunks of fillets, lightly sprinkled with flour  and deep fried with onions. Add sliced poatatoes, baked beans and camp coffee. The savoury taste of this meal can only be appreciated by those who have experienced this lunch.
