Rustic Accomodations

Our main lodge building features a commercial kitchen, dining & lounge area, tackle shop, laundry facilities, hot and cold running water, showers, flush toilets and electrical power.

Our full service packages includes all meals served in the lodge.

A-FRAME CABIN & MEETING ROOM

Take in the lake view and aurora with the comfort of a wood-burning stove. A-Frame cabin is the ideal location for aurora viewing and photography. The A-Frame can accomodate up to 16 people which makes it the perfect setting for groups, workshops, and events.

FULL SERVICE FACILITIES

Andrew Lake is available with full service (all meals provided) or light housekeeping packages. All groups are booked to private cabins.

Andrew Lake Lodge Cabins are of a rustic log construction and accommodate 2-4 guests each. Hot and cold running water, showers and flush toilets and electrical power, 24 hour satellite phone communication, satellite internet, TV, conference room, and a 3,400 foot private air strip. 14 ft Lund & Alumarine Boats with 9.9HP Honda & Yamaha motors.

Groups of 12 or more can book the camp exclusive with ALL Cabins.

Based on the reaction of some of our guys, I would be surprised if some of them haven't already contacted you to say what a wonderful time we all had…..it was totally awesome….from the flight right up from Ft. Mac, everyone was great…Pierre was something else..we all got on his case right off the bat and he took it immediately in stride…setting the tone for the trip in and the trip out…he's a super guy….we were all pleased that we were able to help him unload the wood when he came to pick us up on the final day….he did a beautiful fly over the camp before he landed and I'm just mad as hell that none of us had cameras ready when he did so as were were all sitting around having a coffee and he came in a bit early….your run a great show Dan and without exception, all of our guys had a fantastic time!

As far as the fishing went, what can I say.... As I said we were very realistic with our expectations and know that nothing is guaranteed as far as catching fish. We came up simply hoping to catch some lake trout and have an opportunity for a trophy fish. We could not have wished for more that what we experienced. We fished hard for four days and as I look back, really cannot believe our catch. Numerous lake trout in the 4-8lb range all caught in 3 to 5 feet of water capped off with 2 giant Lake Trout of a life time. I was aware that likely the pike fishing would not be as 'good' as it is in the spring and we may not catch the numbers that we would have in the spring. Well we caught lots of pike and 5 GIANT's well over 20lbs with the largest a 48″ 30+lb brute that simple blew us away. The fish, the fall colors, the lodge were simply outstanding.

My trip on the Thelon was outstanding. I would have to say it was right up there with the best 6 weeks I can remember in my life. The timing was perfect. I was at the narrows between Beverly Lake and Aberdeen Lake when the Caribou began to cross the river. I watched for 2 days as they came by in groups between 12 and 100 animals. As soon as one group crossed, another was approaching the river. I saw lots of Muskoxen, a few moose, and best of all - I had lots of time alone on a beautiful land and river.
